3D models

This is the 3D model of the bird that picks up the main character in the production video below. I constructed this model in a day so that the team could get working on the rigging and animation early. The main idea for this character what that the bird was suppose to have rainbow water that flowed behind it. This was represented as the balls, but the production team ran out of time.
The colors were also changed in the final film.

I am a huge Avatar fan. I love all the animals in this movie. Like the sculpture of the Thanator, I did this model while the movie was fresh in thearters so find references were very scarce.

My modeling teacher always said that I would drive myself crazy because I model artisically. She explained it as pushing the limits of 3DS Max to far. Not thinking of it as a structual tool but as artistic as a paint brush. I'm an over-achiever; pushing limits is a way of life for me.

I'm proud to say I'm still sane and attack 3DS Max like a sculpting program, which my drive others crazy but became a passion of mine.

Motto: I love the word can't because it can always be proven wrong in idividual lives.

  1. Thanks! I hope to get into the industry to create or work on cartoons for kids someday. Animation and teaching children are my two greatest passions.
